Mobile Metal Casting Day Class

Mobile Foundry Day Course for High Schools and Advanced.
This course begins in the class room with the school’s Art Teacher instructing the students in carving foam models and making molds. This can take as long as needed for the class to complete their models and molds.
Once the class is ready, I’ll bring my portable foundry to the school where we will cast the molds into aluminum. Most studends will come away from the experience with more knowlege about metal and the metal casting process, as well as a piece of metal sculpture made by their own hands!
The casting portion of this course can also be used as an educational demonstration and spectator event for other students not directly involved in the course.
Pricing: $600 foundry fee, plus $15 per student casting, plus $1.35 per mile travel to event (Teacher preparation consultation included)
You may use a credit card to purchase the deposit above. This will reserve a session for your school or event, the balance being due upon the completion of the reserved day. Please note that in the event of client cancellation, reservation deposits are nonrefundable as they are partially used to purchase consumables for the show to be performed and travel expenses.
Space and utility requirements for the show: properly ventilated open area accessible by truck and trailer, with 110 ac power and water. Call for more information.
