Foundry 2: Casting Session Deposit
Product Description
Prerequisite: Foundry 1 or equivalent foundry experience
Those who already have some foundry experience can work up some models and molds on their own and jump in to one of our casting sessions! In this more independent format, participants will be responsible for creating their own models and molds in their own studio or shop.
Participants of this level may be more actively involved in the actual pour if they choose. Meets with the pouring schedule of Foundry 1.
Current Pricing:
Aluminum: Meeting with scheduled casting: $110 foundry fee plus $2.50 per lb cast Independent of a class: $180 firing fee plus $2.50 per lb cast
Bronze: Meeting with scheduled casting: $150 foundry fee plus (current mkt bronze) Independent of a class: $240 foundry fee plus (current mkt bronze)
(Because of varying qualities of alloys, students may not bring their own metals to be cast, unless approved by instructor. Sorry, no cans.)
You may use the link above to reserve a spot in a casting session. The balance will be due upon the completion of the session and weighing of the casting.
